Here are some images taken by the campers so far. Don't forget to follow on instagram and twitter with the hashtag #goodbeerbuckshot.

our friend Max Wastler has landed the most amazing gig ever. as the face, the man, the cultural hound of all things cool for the whiskey Basil Hayden.
Max is a friend of camp Wandawega - from the Dose market collaboration. to the Buckshot Sonny's & Good Beer Hunting camp weekend). we are quite proud to call him a friend and BH could not have found a better dude to represent them.

As the new face of Basil Hayden on their brand blog, they describe him as their 'cultural bloodhound'. they have tapped into him for his resourcefulness, great taste and knack for finding the coolest of - well-- everything.

part of his job (the best job in the universe, we might add) is to travel around and find the places the rest of us should go visit- like Fountain Prairie Farms & Inn  and Please & Thank you

a great recent post from the blog sporting 101 features a must-read interview.

excerpt:
My favorite drink and who makes it best: Fire on the Lake. Created by Blake Royer of the Overserved Society. Blake’s one of my closest friends. This cocktail, invented over the course of a very fun weekend at Wandawega, a friend’s camp in Wisconsin, is comprised of many parts, but it’s main ingredient is love.

DRYHOP CHICAGO

We were thrilled to have Good Beer Hunting and Buckshot Sonny's out at Camp Wandawega this past fall. Loving the boys weekend rundown that DryHop posted. Such kind words about Camp Wandawega and we are so happy they all had such a great time. Nothing like good people, good friends and a bunch of fun at  camp!

Photos by: Michael Kiser - Good Beer Hunting
We highlighted Michael Kiser of Good Beer Hunting yesterday on the blog. It was timely because two weekends ago he teamed up with Max Wastler of Buckshot Sonny's to throw an all-guys, manly-man weekend at Camp Wandawega
Here are some quick highlights but you should really check out the full story of beer, booze, debauchery and style over at Good Beer Hunting. There are many beautiful photos of what seems to have been a legendary weekend.

Max of Buckshot Sonny's Goods mans the grill (check out the hog head behind him).

No guys weekend would be complete without a bonfire (or flaming nunchucks)...

...OR good whiskey.

Blake Royer on the ever-popular rope swing.

Smokin' chips.

There was no shortage of beer (including perennial Wisconsin favorite, New Glarus).

On the Menu: Quail and apple, pork cheek, beef short ribs, green beans, horseradish potatoes, campfire beans, cornbread and chocolate pecan pie--all from Dry Hop Brewers in Chicago.

Solemn Oath Brewery and Brewery Vivant both brought beer. Ooh, and check out the custom glasses!

Darts, pool, canoeing, archery, hiking--it was a full-on, testosterone-fueled weekend.

Max Wastler checking in guests.

All-in-all, it looked like a great weekend. I'm sad to have missed it (I'm working in Prague at the moment), but David was able to attend and said it was one of his favorite ever events at Wanda.

Again, check out the whole post over on Good Beer Hunting for more glamour shots of beer and campiness.

Cheers, guys!
