FINALLY!~ we got a vintage RV to restore...

picked it up yesterday.
its called a "canned ham" style.
- 12' 1959 Friendship, (made in nearby Friendship, WIsconsin)

here are some before shots...

its gonna' be a fall weekend project, completion date before snowfall.

stay tuned for 'in progress' shots.

first order of the day: buff her up to get the shine back to the original mirror finish!

get a custom vintage striped canvas canope made to fit the side.

(i love this detail of the old duck stickers from the hunters who had it before us)

the interior is in surprisingly good shape. wood veneer in tact in 90% of the space, original condition.

...although, the curtains have to go.

the upholstered cushions in the dining area are in perfect condition.

we have some work to do on the kitchen area.... plan on rebuilding the shelving, swapping out the backsplash, refurbishing some of the vintage hardware...

the old wisconsin hunter who had her left all of the original parts intact, like this light fixture.

completely smooth sailing trailer her to wandawega from 3 hrs north of us.
the best part is: we bought her for $1100.

some fantastic images from the vintage trailer site...

we are getting our little rv buffed out in the next couple weeks...
all sources say it will take 50 -60 man hours to get her to shine up like this:
