You may remember us featuring Keely and Jason's wedding invitations and engagement session here on the Wanda blog recently. Now we are ready to bring you their summer camp wedding - shot again by the incredible Anda Marie. Keely and Jason's beautiful and homey wedding (quilts and pies and sparklers...oh my) was even featured on 100 Layer Cake yesterday! Check it out and check out Anda's blog for her thoughts on the celebration and many more photos.
Here are some words from the bride, Keely, on her incredible wedding:
I did not have a specific image of my dream wedding when we started planning, but when we stumbled upon Camp Wandawega it was love at first sight. From the perfectly chosen vintage décor to the welcoming hosts and room for guests to stay on site, we were sold. Owners David Hernandez and Tereasa Surratt have spent years making Wandawega into the gem that it is today. With their attention to detail, only minimal decorations were necessary.
We decided to embrace the summer camp theme and spent our weekends at flea markets gathering lanterns, thermoses, flashlights, and anything that screamed Parent Trap (the original). An assortment of wildflowers accented our antique finds and helped complete the nature-loving theme.
I know every bride thinks her wedding is perfect (and I am clearly biased), but our wedding was perfect for us. It was fun, meaningful, casual, inclusive and beautiful in every sense of the word. Did I mention it was a great time? Some of my favorite moments of the day took place on the dance floor. It became the literal centerpiece of our wedding. Whether our two-year-old nieces were twirling with delight or my parents were dancing in honor of their 40th wedding anniversary, the energy was magnetic. We never strayed far from the music and loved every minute of the celebration.
