weve always wanted one of these... and i figure if i put it in writing now that it in the works, it will make me keep my word. so here it is. starting the design now!
i love that each 'tier' or section of a totem pole tells a story. historically, they were meant to serve as memorials for the deceased. each section would speak to something significant about the person who passed away. (ie: a bear's face may tell the story of the time the person had killed a bear, etc.).
we think it would be nice to make a totem that speaks to several family members we've lost. my dad, david's great grandfather and his grandmother (who recently passed away).
they deserve a memorial.... so we hope to have it up by late spring.
