RESURRECTING THE LOST ART OF THE TRAVEL JOURNAL

We all do it. take a million digital photos, with the best of intentions to make the photo album ‘when i get back’...  and then suddenly it’s 5 years later and the photo CDs are collecting dust in a shoebox at the back of your closet.  but we still seem to avoid scrapbooking because it typically conjures up pictures of your glue-stick wiedling geriatric aunt in at her kitchen table.  not really your thing.  but theres a more fresh way to do it. and it doesnt involve stickers and premade journaling kits.
How to embrace the art of journaling the way our grandparents did:
* engraving rubbings.
* flower pressings
* drawings / sketches
* writing.
* postcards.
* mini watercolor paintings
* sample collecting, etc....
i heard this somewhere and love it- its really one of the best reasons to start journaling your travels.
A LIFE IS NOT MEASURED BY THE NUMBER OF DAYS LIVED, BUT BY THE NUMBER OF DAYS REMEMBERED. REMEMBER YOURS BY MAKING A TRAVEL JOURNAL.

here are a few pages from my travel journals.
hongkong to prauge, paris to argentina, and everywhere in between...
