I love salvation army

the store off of grand ave (milwaukee ave) is the mothership of chicago.
its gets all the shipment donations and disperses the most of the others in the city.

if you're going to make the excursion, go on tuesdays-thats the day they mark large items down that have been sitting on the floor too long.

last week I found a 1930's wooden kitchen cabinet (with metal drawer liners and original handles) fantastic condition. $30.00.

a 60+ year old shipping crate for a dozen bucks, and this AMAZING wood swivel- adjustible drafting chair for a song.
